Students in this course learn about effective business communication, focusing on several different tactics and theories, including but not limited to, the framing effect, prospect theory, personal voice, employing semiotics in business, and direct and active business messaging. Using Harvard Business Review format, students will be able to write a carefully crafted business pitch that introduces your products or services to a target audience.

Creating a persuasive pitch for a new business:

Based on the parameters provided by the Employer, students will write a brief elevator pitch which can be used as a persuasive message on the company's websites and other forms of online presence (e.g., social media introduction line).
